For your GP
Please could we talk about a referral to Remind?
I’ve been looking at Remind, a free, GP-referred programme that combines exercise with mental-health support. I think it could help, and I’d like to ask whether a referral would be appropriate for me.
What it is
A free, 8-week programme that blends supervised exercise with mental-health support for low mood and anxiety. Delivered by qualified, mental-health-trained personal trainers at OJ Gyms in Devon, on GP referral.
What's measured
GAD-7, PHQ-9 and BMI at baseline (week 1) and endline (week 8), with weekly in-session wellbeing checks. Self-harm responses are escalated to a coordinator the same day.
What the practice receives
A coordinator-reviewed outcome report back to the referring practice. Trainers never contact GPs directly; roles are separated and every change is audited.
How to refer
Practices can request access and refer at re-mind.health/refer. A Remind coordinator sets up practice access and handles the hand-over, so reviewed outcome reports come back ready to discuss.
